After arriving in LA from New York and after teaching for two years (93-95) in rental spaces, Mr. Alderson opened his own acting studio in the summer of 1995. Students who had studied with him in Ny and the previous two years wanted to extend the studio into a theatre and puton some shows. So we knocked down some walls and extended the length of the stage nine feet and the Studio Theatre was born. Our first production was "Lovers and Other Strangers" by Joseph Bologna and Rene Taylor. The audiences loved it, the actors loved it and we never looked back.
